Worldwide cooperation with universities
Minami Nutrition considers scientific
research to be of paramount importance. In 2004 several
products - MorEPA®, MorDHA® and PlusEPA®-
were included in the following studies :
- in cooperation with the University
of Munich, Department of Metabolic Disorders and Nutrition,
Prof. Koletsko, Dr E. Severus and Dr Riedel: research
into postnatal depression (product: PlusEPA® and
a placebo)
- In cooperation with University of
Oxford, University Laboratory for Physiology, Prof.
Alexandra Richardson: research into dyslexia and ADHD
(product: MorEPA® and a placebo)
- In cooperation with the University
of Bristol, Department of Experimental Psychology, Prof.
Peter Rogers and Dr Katherine Appleton: research into
mood swings in women (product: MorDHA® and a placebo)
- In cooperation with the Monash University
and Monash Medical Center in Melbourne, Australia, Prof.
Krishna Vaddadi: study (product: PlusEPA® and a
placebo)
- Placebo controlled, 15 weeks randomised
multicenter study of PlusEPA® as treatment for ADHD
with co-morbidity in Swedish children ages 7-12 (HPEPA1).
Participating units: Child and Adolescent psychiatric
clinics in Uppsala, Karolinska Institute, Linkoping,
Kalmar, Section for Pediatric Neurology and Habilitation,
Children's Hospital,
Huddinge University Hospital, School Care Unit Örebro.
Each unit provides 18 (at least 8 ) Children.

Amsterdam, Dr F. Pouwer, Diabetes Research Group EMGO
Institute: research into the relationship between diabetes
and depression (product: PlusEPA® and a placebo)
- Study on the Comparison of the
therapeutic effect of EPA and fluoxetine in patients
with major depression. (product: PlusEPA® and a
placebo) in cooperation with School of Public Health
and Institute of Public Health Research (SPH-IPHR),
Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) Dr. Seyed
Ali Keshavarz , Dr. Mahmood Jalali and Dr. Shima Jazayery.
